Joseph Eichler was a developer during the 1950’s that is best
known for of making the ideals of the modernist movement
accessible to the middle class through prefabricated homes.
The clients sought to pay tribute to the ideas, but with modern
materials and finishes as well as a clarified and updated floor
plan. The scope of the design work included a complete
redesign of the living space and the addition of square footage
on to the original house.
